Heathvale Heights Cottage is fully self-contained cottage accommodation for couples situated on very quiet farmland, near the friendly township of Dunkeld in the heart of the Victorian Western District.
Surrounded by the soaring mountains of the Grampians National Park, you will awake in a queen size bed, relaxed and listening to kookaburras in the trees. A luxurious, spacious bathroom complete with a clawfoot bath, walk-in shower and twin basins awaits you and you will delight in the luxury of the heated floor.
Everything you need, none of the things you don't need
An open plan kitchen/dining/living area has all the mod cons you'll need. Your only difficulty while whipping up your foodie delights will be taking your eyes away from the amazing views of Mount Abrupt through the double glazed picture window.
Laze back in the sumptuous antique rocking chairs or enjoy a glass or two on the patio while you watch the night skies come to life, free of ambient street lights, devoid of traffic hum. The occasional bleating of a lamb or perhaps the hop of a passing kangaroo guaranteed to sooth your soul.
A nod to history with country solace
Built in the early 1900s from bricks handmade on site, the Cottage has been sensitively and lovingly restored to its former farm cottage glory, retaining its significant farming history. It has a cute verandah with outdoor furniture for lazing and relaxing - the perfect place to snuggle up with a good book. The original stone 'battery shed' now houses your laundry complete with modern appliances bringing all the daily essentials home. The original free standing chimney salutes the mountains of the ancient Grampians range as you witness a little of the country life while watching sheep graze and meander in the surrounding pastures.

Self-contained sustainable getaways
Your accommodation is a self-contained cottage with a full functioning kitchen. You are the only occupants for your stay. (Note: Maximum 2 guests only.). Keys are provided on arrival and we offer a welcome pack providing fruit & snacks to get you started.
Ample water is collected in our huge rainwater collection tanks proving you with all the essentials for your stay.
A secured driveway check-in and unique number for keypad entry and exit makes your arrival and venturing safe and secure. Simply enter the four digit code plus the hash key - wait 30 seconds & the solar operated gate automatically opens for you. More details will be texted to you prior to arrival & confirmation of stay.
